Quiet Book Pattern - LDS Quiet Book Patterns - Jesus in Gethsemane, On the Cross, In the Tomb, and Resurrected

I've been working on this LDS Quiet Book Pattern for a while, and so excited to finally have it ready for listing.

This quiet book page features events of Jesus in Gethsemane, on the cross, in the tomb, and resurrected. My boys tested this page out at Church a few weeks ago and they had a blast folding Jesus' arms for the prayer, and practicing their snap button skills.

I love how I can teach them the stories of Jesus in a fun, visual, and hands on way.
Can't wait to use it for our FHE lesson tonight :)

You can find this LDS quiet book pattern and all my other patterns in our LDS Quiet Book Patterns shop.

Lots of Cutting To Do :)

There's lots of cutting to do around here, so we are practicing our cutting skills, especially for the latest LDS Quiet Book Pattern we are working on.

Any guesses what we are "growing"? (Hint...hint...) :)

LDS Quiet Book Page Testers in Action

Yesterday at church the boys had fun testing out one of my recently completed LDS Quiet Book pages.

It was sure nice to have a little quiet activity they could do at Church rather than running up and down the halls like they wanted to do before I pulled out this page.

Jesus Walks on Water

I absolutely love the story of Jesus walking on water and the lesson of faith being taught in that lesson. As such, I decided to make an LDS quiet book pattern using that story as a way to visually illustrate what is being taught through the story.

This is one of the simpler patterns I designed, compared to my other ones, but it clearly portrays the events of Jesus walking on water and Peter starting to fall into the water. My boys absolutely love this, and it has been a great conversation starter for us to teach them the principles of faith.

Homemade Music / Noisemaker Kit

My kids love music. Whether it is singing it, playing it , or dancing to it, they love it all. They particularly enjoy pulling out my pots and pans and chopsticks and making music with them. So one day I thought of making a little music kit that we could easily pull out and use anytime.

I wanted to keep it simple by using stuff that I already had laying around the house, but at the same time still make it fun. Here's what I came up with:

- Egg shakers, M&M tub shaker, vitamin bottle shaker, milk jug shaker
- Egg shaker maracas
- Ribbon spool twist drum
- Baby snack tub drum with pompom drum sticks
- Baby food jar lid cymbals
- Baby wipe guitar
- Aluminum tray guitar
- Toilet paper tube microphone
- Bell bracelet / anklet

I happened to already have all the stuff lying around the house, including empty Easter eggs from this past Easter, but if you don't have any, the great news is that you can buy plastic Easter eggs online all year round.

I even found an empty cheese ball container to store all the little instruments in our music kit. Gotta love it when you can repurpose things around the house and use it for something else :)

My kids absolutely love these, and they are always so excited when I pull them out.
This will also be so perfect for FHE, nursery/primary lessons or singing time.
